· 1966 – The official founding of SPECTRO. SPECTRO was an idea for many years, but this year marks the year that SPECTRO was officially founded and hit the market with its first product, Golden SPECTRO Pre-mix Concentrate. Known and loved by riders old and new, this product serves as the cornerstone of our quality and mission to provide oils that make a real difference in your machine.
· 1975 – Moving to our production plant and warehouse in Brookfield, CT. While it’s not the most exciting landmark ever, we are still in this building today. We’ve grown our facility over the years and we will continue to grow so we can keep making an impact in our local community and servicing riders from our home-grown U.S. facility.
· 1990 – Entering the market for Harley-Davidson oils. This marked a big year for SPECTRO. It was our first year expanding out of the off-road market and developing new oils for a different segment of motorcycles. An exciting new opportunity to get involved with a different type of machine that we here at SPECTRO all love and many of us ride.
· 2004 – The SPECTRO bottle is born. This was the year we created our iconic and unique slanted bottle for easier pouring and use. Down to the packaging that our oil is stored in, we demand quality. We do the work ourselves and we know the struggle of packaging that is difficult to work with and how it can make some parts of an oil change into a hassle. That’s why we came up with a bottle design that is easy to grip, pour, and measure the amount of oil going into our machines and yours.
· 2016 – 50 Years of SPECTRO. Marking half a decade of service to the powersports industry and passion for racing.
· 2023 – Joining the MOTOREX family. Joining with the MOTOREX group has provided SPECTRO with limitless opportunities and “reloaded” the brand as a whole. We have countless new tools and opportunities available to us, working with world-renowned experts at MOTOREX to improve our offerings and expand our commitment to quality.
We think a lot on the past here at SPECTRO because it is important to us. We want to remember where we are going and who we are every step of the way so we don’t ever lose our vision of quality, passion, and commitment.
